Welcome to Igniting Engagement in Elementary Social Studies, a professional development course designed to support K–5 educators in bringing social studies to life through inquiry, literacy integration, and meaningful technology use. Whether you’re a veteran teacher or just starting your social studies journey, this course will provide you with practical strategies, ready-to-use tools, and a flexible framework for designing engaging, standards-aligned instruction. This course in intended for K–5 classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, instructional coaches, and preservice educators interested in integrating social studies with literacy and technology in an engaging, standards-aligned way.  Completers will receive 15 hours of Professional Learning.
