Full course description
This workshop will provide an overview of the history of curricular frameworks for students with ESN. Additionally, the legal mandates that have driven the path to our current legal requirements for teaching and assessing academic content for students with ESN will be described. Moreover, the Philosophy of Least Dangerous Assumption will be highlighted as a major justification for promoting access to the general curriculum for this population. Finally, the research conducted thus far to support academic skill acquisition for students with ESN will be examined.
