NDE1055: CASEL Competencies (SEL) Pathway: Social Awareness Microcredential

Social awareness refers to the ability to recognize, empathize, and respond to the values, beliefs, cultural norms, and traditions of others. Socially aware, empathetic students are able to engage with their peers in a variety of school settings—academic and social—thus furthering their personal and academic success. This microcredential represents the educator's ability to provide high-quality instruction on social awareness skills that are essential components of social emotional learning.
