This course is appropriate for teachers and licensed personnel who work with students in group settings.
Information processing cooperative learning activities are those that help students make sense of new learning in a group setting. When engaged in information processing activities, learners interact with each other and engage in meaningful discourse to make sense of new information and move toward cognitive growth. Successful information processing activities ensure that students have a non-threatening way to process new learning and to solidify their understanding. This microcredential focuses on the effective use of cooperative learning structures that help students process and retain learned information.
