This course is appropriate for educators and licensed personnel engage work with others in a mentoring role.
There are many instances where a mentor can help another educator in need of support. Educators new to a building, those who are teaching a new subject, and those who are taking on a new role (club leader, committee chair, etc.) all may find themselves in need of mentorship. Effective mentors support mentees as they learn their new role; they are instrumental in ensuring that all educators feel safe and supported in the workplace.This microcredential provides opportunities for mentors to demonstrate competency in fulfilling the roles of advocate and colleague as well as mentor.
