Full course description

This course is designed to give participants information about some of the victims of Nazi persecution who went on to make significant contributions to civilization despite the horrors they endured. These people became significant contributors in various walks of life. The survivors mentioned in this course dealt with their trauma by ignoring it and moving on, using their experience to help others, or accepting what happened as a challenge to go on and succeed. Learning about them may encourage others to understand that trauma and tragedy do not have to define a person's future.

Most Holocaust education courses are about what happened to people during the Holocaust. This class will look at some people who, in spite of the horrors they experienced, went on to become famous for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to civilization.

15 Hours of Professional Learning.
