Full course description

This course explores how the Holocaust is remembered through museums, monuments, and memorials across the world. Through a combination of virtual tours, readings, discussions, and project-based assignments, participants will examine how different countries confront the legacy of the Holocaust, promote historical accountability, and preserve memory for future generations.

Learners will engage with questions about historical responsibility, the power of public memory, and how education can prevent denial and hate. The course also emphasizes practical application, asking participants to develop educational resources that bring these global remembrance efforts into classrooms and communities.

By the end of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of how Holocaust memorialization varies across cultures and how it can be used to foster empathy, awareness, and critical thinking in students and citizens alike.

15 Hours of Professional Learning.

Course End Date: July 7, 2025
